Holmes Humidifiers
Holmes humidifiers are effectively known to combat these situations. Moisture is an essential part for the human body. During winters, when we shut the window and stop the inflow of natural air, the humidity in our house falls from the normal 40 to 50% to a mere 20%. This results in less moisture being given to our lungs, which finally makes us vulnerable to illness and common cold. The other symptoms of less humidity in air are dry nose, sore throats, and cracked, itchy skins. Aggravated allergy, asthma symptoms and painful static shocks are also due to the same reason. Loss in humidity does not only harm our body, it also damages the objects in our houses, too. Chipping paint and plaster and also cracked wood floors, molding, trim and furniture are some common examples.
There are fifteen types of humidifiers presently sold by the company. These are divided broadly in to three different classifications. They are cool mist, warm mist and ultrasonic. When dividing the products in these three above mentioned classes, there are nine cool mist humidifiers, five warm mist humidifiers and one ultrasonic humidifier. All these humidifiers are very user friendly. The latest filter technology used in these is called the LifeLong, a trademarked humidifier filter technology. Through this, the filters use exclusive composite filters to fish out even the minute mineral deposits found in water. This ensures safe water circulation, protecting our lungs from potential damage.
The function of all the humidifiers is to moisturize the air; however, the Holmes humidifier stands a step above the other. This difference is due to its detailed technologies used in each of its products. One of these is called the Filtercheck®. This technology was introduced back in 2001 and is used in all the cool mist humidifiers. Its purpose is to keep monitoring the status of the wick and suggest a change when needed.
Another very important and powerful feature is the Microban® Antimicrobial Product protection, which stops the growth of odor causing bacteria, mildew and mold. But then, for proper functioning of any unit, it is very important to keep it maintained.
